Background
Science has always fascinated me but being able to use my knowledge to help patients in a direct, one-on-one relationship is what made me want to be a physician. I am a perpetual student. I’ve learned from my patients over the last 30+ years how to best guide and advise them, and I continue to learn from them every day. Playing a role in their lives as I help them navigate the complicated system of healthcare has been so rewarding, I would never consider another path.

Background
After spending 14 years as a bedside ICU nurse and seeing firsthand the consequences of less-than-ideal lifestyle choices, I wanted to focus on preventative health care. I believe health care should be proactive, not reactive. I love being able to interact with my patients and discuss their goals of care. Collaborating with my patients is one of my favorite aspects of what I do on a daily basis.
